In 1985, Fr. John Cusick, Chaplain, returned from speaking to the First Friday Club of Cleveland and said "we can do that." Since June of 1986, members and guests of the First Friday Club of Chicago meet at the Union League Club the first Friday of every month from October through May.

We have been fortunate to hear from some of the finest speakers; men and women who share with us the moral dilemmas and social obligations transcending their work and involvement in business, education, government, media, neighborhood life as well as many other areas.

Greetings!

The First Friday Club of Chicago is set to begin its 23rd season on October 3rd. This is our invitation to join us on that Friday and at the subsequent luncheons through May 2009 at The Union League Club of Chicago. The purpose of the First Friday Club is a simple one: to make connections between our work, our faith and values and the issues of the day.

We are truly honored to have had so many interesting and influential people stand before us on the first Friday of the month and this season will be no exception.
